Tips and Safety

Tips and Safety!

  • Do not leave lit candles unattended.
  • Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
  • No products are suitable for consumption.
  • Make sure all labels, hessian wrap, and tote bags are removed before lighting your candles.
  • Place candles on flat surfaces before burning. Do not keep candles inside of their boxes.
  • Place the candles straight up. A leaning candle will drip and smoke.
  • The candles will become hot, do not touch.
  • Do not pick up or move a burning candle. Make sure that the candle is not alight and has cooled down before moving.
  • The wick should not be longer than 0.5 cm. If you cut the wick longer, this may cause the candle to flicker or smoke.
  • Do not place a burning candle close to flammable objects, please take caution.
  • Do not inhale the smoke from the candle directly.
  • Only light the wick on the candle.
  • The container will become hot after the candle burns. Do not place directly on furniture or polished surfaces.
  • It is not recommended to use scented candles for pregnant women.
  • Place candles in non-flammable containers/holders, and ensure that the candles can not fall over.
  • Ensure any flowers or other decorative features are not protruding and are pushed into the wax before lighting.

Before lighting the candles
Before lighting the candle each time, you need to trim the candle wick. Twist the candle wick with your fingers. This is to make the candle burn evenly and avoid the wick from splitting and producing black smoke.

Burning the candle
When lighting a scented candle for the first time, time control is very important. Avoid too short a burning time. It is said that candles have a "burning memory". If the surface layer is not evenly heated and completely melted when it is lit for the first time, the burning of the candle will only be confined around the wick.
Keep enough burning time according to the capacity of the candle to form a complete wax pool, so that the candle will continue to burn evenly.

Candle storage
Candles should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place, away from electrical appliances, stoves, heat sources and other combustible objects. Excessive temperature or sunlight can cause the surface of the candle to melt.
